Gas smell in cab again

Well, You can tell summer is here once again...85 sunny degrees here in upstate NY! Opened my 70 Chevy C-10's cab to a strong gas smell again...even though I bought a Stant 11623 last fall. The 11623 is supposed to be a vented cap from what I heard (right here on this forum)...yet when I unscrewed it...I heard all the pressure release from my tank. I also saw the gas dripping from the (tank to gas line) connection behind the seat. That's a good thing. I can fix that and I will, but I still need a vented cap. Does anyone know if there's a "no doubt about it" vented cap out there for our trucks...This is the second cap I have bought recently that was supposed to be vented..Thanks, Bob

Re: Gas smell in cab again

Board Vendors such as Wes at Classic Heartbeat and GMC Pauls should carry the vented cap you are looking for. I live in South Florida and I purchased mine from Bennett Auto Supplies. You may also want to check with your local Napa Dealer. Good Luck.
