clearance issues?

if i move the rear most crossmember on my 67 flush with the end of the frame rails will i run into any issues with bumper brackets,bed mounting,ect? the reason i ask is i have a tank from a 77 van that i want to install. scroll down to post 6-7. thanks http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php?p=3126952

yep. did that and had to cut lots off of the bumper brackets to squeeze past cross member and had to trim for bed bolts also. lots of trimming and checking. but can be done.

does anyone have any pics of the rear frame area w/ a bed and bumpers on it? for visual reference? i currently dont have a bed or rear bumper.

I used an ECE rear crossmember that is positioned at the end of the frame on my 67 CrewCab. I did this because I installed an FCG tank. It's tight but I don't remember any issues with mounting the bumper. Here's some pictures.

Hart_Rod, thats exactly what i was looking for. any issues with the panhard bar?

I've got an ECE super track bar and have no clearance issues.
