Heater valve on inner fender.. can I eliminate it?

I'm missing most of my AC stuff. In time I'll be going the AC delete route and cleaning up my firewall. So, I'm not planning on putting AC back in my truck (if I decide to later there's always Vintage Air). I believe after reading this:

That I can just run the hose back bypassing this valve with no effect. I just want my heat to still work.

Thanks for the preliminary answer Longhorn Man.. just making sure I understand things correctly.

Re: Heater valve on inner fender.. can I eliminate it?

That valve shuts off hot antifreeze from going thru the heater core when the A/C is on. Since the heater core and A/C evaporator core sit right next to each other, this keeps the heater core from heating up and cancelling out the A/C.

To answer your question, yes you can eliminate it if you are not using A/C. Just make sure that you cap off the vacuum source to it.
