strange observation

I noticed on several trucks I looked at the cowl were it meets the roof pillar doesn't sit flush on the passenger side, I started noticing this cause mine was like that when I was putting the truck back to gether, The drivers side seems to sit flush, but the passenger side sits higher than the roof pillar, anyone else notice this, I know it seems anal, but couldn't help notice.Check your truck for me.

yea i noticed that .... and all other imperfections on my truck too .... i think its part of the obsession that grows when you get one of these trucks.... i noticed my hood sets higher compared to the cowl on the driver side but its nice and flush on the passenger side .... might have been the new hood to cowl seal i put in .. the old one let water run right through

Of all my favorite things to do, The utmost is to have a brew.
My love grows for my foamy friend, with each thirst-quenching elbow bend.
Beer so frosty, smooth, and cold it's paradise pure liquid gold.
Yes beer means many things to me that's all for now cus I gotta pee.

71 longbed loosin the bolts on the hinge where they bolt to the fender,I loosin the front bolt and the bottom back, just slightly loosin the top bolt, allowing the hinge to drop down slightly, tighten and slowly close hood observing to make sure the hood is not hitting anywhere, you might just have to play with the positioning of the hinge abit to get the hood to sit right when its closed

In my case, the hinge was good, in original position, the spring was just a little more sprung than 30 years ago..........adjusting the hinge took care of it......

woa...a sane moment......take advantage it wont last..
