Portland craigslist deals galore!

It's after the holidays and everyone's broke. Thought I share in case someone's hunting... If they were mine, I'd keep 'em all!

Short wides are growing on me. And for $1500, it looks pretty clean. http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/985408499.html

Re: Portland craigslist deals galore!

Same here! I was thinking of emailing the dude and seeing if he'd part with 'em. After torque thrusts, those old slot mags are my all-time fave.

Too bad I'm going to five-lugs soon...

Had to go back and look on the wheels but those are some of my favorites for these trucks too.
Those look to be some decent deals on some decent project starter trucks.

Re: Portland craigslist deals galore!

I looked at a set of those wheels last summer. They were perfect and cheap BUT....I dont know what the deal is......it seems all those wheels have only about 3.5" of backspace. If you're not low its not an issue, but if you are low and have a disc conversion you will be into yur fenders, at least with some real rubber under there. Look how close that front tire is on the red truck.

I dont know if you can mill the back of those wheels to gain some backspace.

Re: Portland craigslist deals galore!

I'll be using a '71 rear axle soon, so that type of wheel (or any with a lot of backspace) won't be in the cards.

Good thing I like stock steelies with bullet caps and beauty rings.
