vortec heads and A/C compressor
does anybody have vortec heads and AC? the factory AC bracket bolts to the intake and the vortec intake is different. I'd like to put AC back on my truck without spending a fortune.
found this: http://www.hotrodair.com/index.cfm/p...prod/prd42.htm Is there a cheaper way to do it??

Re: vortec heads and A/C compressor
There's a guy on e-bay who sells late model serpentine kits (mine came off a 92 Camaro). They bolt right onto the Vortec heads and come with the A/C compressor, internally regulated alternator, power steering pump, brackets, etc... (I just had to get a long water pump for mine). I picked the whole shoot and match up for around $150. Works fine.

Re: vortec heads and A/C compressor
Just head to the recycle yard get the entire shooting match. There are lots of serpentine setups. Get water pump (REV), Alt, AC, Pwr str pump, all the hardware and the upper rad hose. And the electric fan n shroud too if your wanting to do that too while you there.

Check out ALAN GROVE COMPONENTS for mounting brackets.
