Heater/ AC fan wiring help needed...
I had to cut the wires at the back of the heater switch, as they were all melted together, and now I'm having trouble figuring out which wires go to which terminals on the switch. Does anyone know the correct arrangement of these wires? All I get is only the high speed no matter how I've tried them. Can't get the low and medium to work at all. It's an AC truck by the way.
Thanks in advance!! |

Re: Heater/ AC fan wiring help needed...
There is a wiring diagram floating around here some place. It gives colors and locations of each wire.
Note that on an AC truck, high-speed goes through a relay. Make sure you look at all your wires under there, not just the back of the controller.

Re: Heater/ AC fan wiring help needed...
Thanks for the diagram. But it's hard to tell as the shape of the switch on the diagram doesn't match what the back of the heater switch looks like. I have 3 terminals on the left side, and then one terminal off to the right. When I hook up the brown (hot wire) to the right side, I only get high speed no matter how I change around the 3 wires to the left. does anyone have the order of the yellow, blue, and orange wires from top to bottom?
Or maybe it's my switch is bad, too.??? Sorry for the extra trouble. |

Re: Heater/ AC fan wiring help needed...
Hope this helps.
This is 1 of 2 differnt AC wiring diagrams out there. This is the one with the "anti dieseling realy on it''. But the wires on the AC switch are the same. I have the other one at the house and can post later tonight. But on the back of the switch is should be [Y] [OR] ...... [Bl] [Pk] There should be markings on the curcit board on the back of the switch for the L, M, H, B.

Hey thanks for posting that picture as I was able to take the switch apart and clean the contacts and test it with your picture. reinstalled it and now I have A/C on high again.
