result of daily driving a 6/8 drop for 4 years

I was able to get some pictures of the front of my A-arms, not pretty eh? Still not as bad as G's though!

Man you guys with these drastic static drops need some bullet proof control arms. Best advice I can give is stay out of parking spots where they use the concrete bumpers. Those things are control arm killers.

This comes from a guy who barely drives his truck, I am surprised you didn't say "don't drive it"!!

Kiddin with ya Mike!

I think a 4 or 5 in front static drop is about perfct, anything else and you are asking for it.

Looks like you should start a "chopped, dropped, and shaved control arm" club.

Hey, I have you know, since being laid off, I have been driving my truck every day. Right now, it's all I have to use. And you won't believe this, I'm actually hauling stuff in it, I mean besides my ass.

I'm looking for something to use for a work truck. I'm hunting a C20 or similar. I want a decent truck, no rusted out POS. And of course, it's got to be a 73-87. Finding one of these around here is like pulling hens teeth. Still looking.

Lots of those here in OK/TX area Mike!

If there is a local AFB where you live, you might try to see if they have any old ones they're getting rid of. Tinker AFB, in OKC, has alot of old 3+3's that they are dumping for newer models. Most are high mileage but straight.

Because I use speed and its lower. Oh, and the damage is not from parking lots or road humps.

Do you plan on replacing the A-arm?
I wonder if I weld a metal block between the lips if the A-arm might be able to survive longer.

Okay G, I'll give it to you, your truck might be lower than mine right now. But as soon as it's off the jackstands there's no way.
