Re: Gettin' back to your roots....
Thanks for all your compliments guys! We had a great time getting the '69 out for a stroll and I know my wife enjoyed taking the pictures.

Re: Gettin' back to your roots....
Great pics Nate, how many miles did you end up driving? Does the ol' girl ride and drive as good as she looks?

Re: Gettin' back to your roots....
I've been to Hermann several times..... but I don't remember much!! (inside joke for us Mid MO boys!)
Nate, what a good looking rig! I still remember you calling me for my thoughts on it before you went to look at it. Glad you got it! Hope to see it soon.

Re: Gettin' back to your roots....
Chris, all in all I think we ran right around 140-150 miles for the round trip. Needless to say... if I was sticking to the PO's mileage schedule, with this trip as well as several others, I don't think I would be able to drive the truck until June 25, 2012!
I do have to say that this old truck does drive as good as it looks. Straight and true, but I tend to get a little wobble depending on the road conditions around 55+. This will definitely be taken care of, more to come on that. Doug, Hermann can have that affect on people, don't even ask how I know that one. I still can't believe I took the plunge and purchased it, but with selling the '72 a couple of weeks ago, it's all good now. allen123, thanks! C20-67_N_MO, definitely can't wait to see that project of yours. Be sure to try and at least attend the Nat's coming up in September. You'll meet some of the greatest people you could ever ask for.

Re: Gettin' back to your roots....
my67chevytruck, thanks!
Mr Chevrolet, it is actually factory Light Green. I think the color was offered for several years, and according to the build sheet - Paint - 14533AD White/Light Green. Here's a thread with a little more info on the truck. Also check out this site for more information related to the colors available during the '67-72 years. Scroll down until you see a box entitled "Auto Color Library Automotive Paint Color Selection Guide" - Select Domestic - Chevrolet Truck - Select Year - pick the specific year you are looking for The next page should provide a color chart and code page for reference. BTW, can't wait to check out your Blazer. Try to make it to the Midwest All Truck Nat's on Sept 11-13 in Riverside, MO (N KC).

The first... what is this subtle drop you are referring too? I am unfamiliar with this word. The second... as far as repaying the wife, so far so good. I think getting her car back in the garage was my first step back towards the bed.
