The set back thickness was a factor in my decision too. Here is a picture that shows the thickness and the frame. also a shot that shows the relationship of the seat, me and the steering wheel. The tape is the door window sill. I am not a big guy (5-6, 160 lbs) and feel the steering is just right. There is also a shot of the back window, you could remove the head rest and not see the seat.
