Blazer Bumper
Looking at LMC, a few pics, and searching on here.. I have a question.
Are blazer rear bumpers the same as pickup with the exception of the brackets? |

Re: Blazer Bumper
So where is the best place to find the inner brackets? Wreckers, GM, or repo?

Re: Blazer Bumper
Just an FYI, that is what commonly referred to as a factory "Sport bumper". It was available on all trucks, and standard equipment on all Blazers and Burbs.

Re: Blazer Bumper
Sports bumper's look best, close to the bed I must say, once I get my interior about finished I'm thinking about putting a sport bumper on my truck, since my roll pan drags all the time, under the licenses plate

Re: Blazer Bumper
K I'm going to bump this old thread because I have found some brackets but the guy says the pickup is either a 81 or a 82.
Will the outers from this truck work on mine or do I need one specific to my 80? My impression was that all outer brackets were the same for these generation of trucks except the inners were different. |

Re: Blazer Bumper
I believe you are correct there. And to move it in closer, just re-drill the holes to move the bracket in that inch or so.

The bottom holes don't line up like they do with the next gen bumper so you can only put 2 bolts into each bracket otherwise the bumper goes an extreme angle. I got it to work but I'll take pics later. |

Re: Blazer Bumper
Sorry no one saw your post before it was too late. Just like the bumpers, the brackets are different from 73-80 and 81-91.

I can make them work The only problem I have at the moment that I'll have to fix is the bottom of the bumper kind of flexes in at the bottom but can be fixed easily. |
