Question GM Factory Bug Guard??????

Need any info? I have one on my 1972 Suburban but its cracked

It has a GM sticker on it. Guessing a Dealer Option?

My 68 came with one of the straight clear ones on it. I don't think it was factory. It looks pretty new. I took it off and it now collects dust up in the rafters.

Man, back in the mid-70's, we had to have one on our truck. Couldn't risk gettin' any bugs on the front of the hood. They still got on the windshield and covered up the grille and bumper. Big whoop......
