Angry Dewayne's Turn To Vent!!!!!!!!

So her I was today setting in the school parking lot talking to my cousin and my other friends leaning up against my truck and what happens?!?! This stupid girl back's out of the parking lot beside me, hit my cousin on the legs shoves his legs back underneath my truck, his head slams down on her hood and she kept on backing up so he falls and almost starts crying and she drives off!!!! So I rush him home so his mom can take him to the hospital, and what do I see 2 big dents where his legs shoved part off my bed in!!! and the f#ckin bumpers bent too. Had to go file a police report and she says it wasn't her fault!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

It would be Hit and Run up here. No excuse for leaving the scene of an accident... especially when she caused bodily harm!!! She could, and should lose her license!!

I agree on the hit and run. I assume that it broke his leg?

In Ca thats a hit and run...

I think that a attempted murder charge should go with it....

oh and she should get hit with an assault charge for hurting your friend also......

Hope he's ok......get her insurance info as she backed into you, should be her fault......

Don't give up on going after her either, it seems the only way people take responsibility for their actions is if you force them too......

I agree, it should be considered hit and run.

Hitting a parked car, a pedestrian, leaving the scene of an accident..........

If it damaged your bumper, i'd like to see what it did to her car..............

you definitely need to get the cops out and get the accident report and charges rolling. sounds like assault with a deadly weapon to me. Not to mention criminal stupidity!!!!!!!

Hope he's not hurt too bad.

I also think you should press charges. Putting dents in your truck is bad enough, but hitting a person that is just standing there should get her some time in jail, or at least get her liscense taken away for a while.

Racing29, What part of TN are you at?

I would take your friend to your towns best lawer, and both of you begin a CIVIL suit against her and her parents (her parents, because she is most likely under 18, and the jurisdiction of responsibility in TN is on the parents until you turn 18). She most likely is UNINSURED, since TN does not require insurance coverage unless you are in an accident (too late then). If she has insurance, refuse to talk to them, just refer their calls to your attorney.

Take plenty of pictures of your truck, your friends legs, the exect scene of the accident. Try to get pics of her car, especially if she has any damage. Get any and all witnesses to the incident names, address, and contact numbers. These are critical for the case against her. Your attorney may either call them to court, or take noterized statements from them.

Have your friend go to many doctors and specialists. Broken bones heal realatively quickly, but soft tissue damage can leave a permament life long disability, and affect your friend for many years. It can take several days to several weeks for the true nature of his injuries begins to bother him as well. Have him get a NOTEBOOK, and take a daily LOG of how he is feeling, and the actions he can no longer do, or that cause him pain.

I hope this will help you and your friend along the way to full recovery, and full restitution of a bad event. I have been in several accidents here in TN (not at fault), and have dealt with the legal and judicial system to resolve these problems, and know first hand what it will take to WIN.

Wow dtlilly! Do you have a couple of slaves too? 'them thar blacks are dun baad peepol'...those are some dumbass comments

But ya definately get as much evidence and picture taking on your side as you can, as thats one of the most blatently dumbass accidents I've heard of in a long time...To actually hit a person and a car at the same time while parked, you have to be an idiot, and then to drive away, wow

Hope your cousin is ok man

If it were still legal, I would NOT own slaves. If my ansestors knew it were going to turn out the way it is today, I'm certain they would have picked their own cotton.

Memphis is experiencing reverse discrimination. The ethnic breakdown consists of 67% BLACK, 22% WHITE, and 11% HISPANIC. Go ahead, and leave the safety of the great white north, and spend just one month here. I'm bonified that you will quickly understand what it means to have done been taken over. Sorry about it, it's just the truth.

You may ask why I'm still here? I wont be once I graduate with my business degree on May 11. They call it in the media down here, "The Great White Escape". We are all letting them have Memphis, and moving out and away.

You didn't call the cops right then? That seems a bit odd to me. the first thought would be to help your friend, but then when she drove off, I would have been looking for a phone.

If she is saying it wasn't her fault, at least she admits she did it! Thats the hard part. so you should be set, good lawyer will clear this up fast.

dtlilly if I were you, id edit that raciest crap out of your post. Its bad enough that you think that way, but even worse when you post that crap on our board. IM sure there are a few raciest cops out there, but to make a blanket statement like that is insulting to, blacks, police, and to people who know better.

Mtdave2, edited. Sounds like a subject for the political forum, since there is so many people interested in the subject of discrimination and ethnic racism.

We've got everything taken care of. My cousin bruised his knee caps and did something to his left leg but I'm not sure what, but it wasn't broke. I'm gonna take my truck to the Insurance company to get a estimate tommorow.

Racing29, What good luck she had insurance. That of course does not solve all the problems. When you have a 30 year old truck, and you sustain damage, they may say the dents exceed the value of the truck, and expect you to walk with "their blue book value".

I'm glad your cuz is not hurt worse than that, but tell him not to settle until he is sure he is 100%, because once he signs the check, the case is closed forever.

I'm sorry about the interlude in your thread, I was wrong for posting controversal content about race relations in the NEW SOUTH, and it offended some who read it.
