newer stepside bed on an old truck?
Would a bed from a 1988-1998 fit on a 1966 c10? If anybody has any pictures of one that would be sweet. The guy that lives down the street from me has a mint bed off a 1991 stepside. My step side beed needs the rear wheel wells. He is asking 150 for the bed. Just wanted to know if anyone has done this swap? Thanks

It works really well actually. Butt ugly IMO, but it's a practical solution to a rotted bed. We have one on a 72 K10. The frames on these trucks are nearly identical.

Re: newer stepside bed on an old truck?
Do you mean the fenders? Be tough to find a good pair in maine, you should opt for an aftermarket set...

Re: newer stepside bed on an old truck?
Thats the thing anything from new england would be rotted or need alot of work. I have 6 years of autobody school under my belt and im not scared of doing work. But some thing are not worth my time. The bed i have is more than savable its just at the moment i dont have the time. This week has been my shortest week at work and i still worked 58 hours.
