Tach question

What is the difference between a big truck dash with gauges & tach compared to a c10. I know the bezel is different, but what about the tach, gauges, & printed circuit. Can you just replace the bezel, or is more involved to convert it. Thank you for your help. James

Re: Tach question

I've used the tach and glass from a c60 on a couple of dashes, kept the stock circuit on the back but wired the tach in separately. I also covered the air pressure print on the glass with black tagboard.. I don't know for sure if the whole dash swaps, but i know the glass is the same size.

Re: Tach question

the inst cluster will swap out with just a new bezal.
The oil pressure guage is 80 PSI instead of 60.
check the tach... the 10 - 30 series got the lame 5000 RPM unit. Some of the bigger trucks had the mega lame 4500 RPM piece... some were even less.

Re: Tach question

Thank you for the information, is the tach the same for all the v8 trucks, smallblock, bigblock, what about diesel, or was that even an option on 67-72 big trucks.
