ok the previous owner said he turned the truck into ac but it just needs the compressor the truck wasn't made for a/c but i really need it so tomorrow ima look under the hood and see if he was telling the truth and too see all what i might need to grab from the junk yard so can i get a list of things that should be there for a/c to work in a non a/c truck

Re: lol A/C

So in the meantime what info are you trying get from posting this thread?

Go look at it right now, you have a flashlight. If it has an aftermarket A/C system most of it will be under the dash.
Are there dash vents in it? A/c control switch?

Re: lol A/C

I looked at the pics on the link NO evaporator housing NO vents in driver side dash. unless its a underdash unit like was stated earlier this truck never had a/c.

Heres some under hood hood pics of my 85 burb factory air. The HUGE box on the right of the engine compartment is the evaporater housing. And you having hydroboost make me wonder if it was a diesel at one point.

Its a form of a brake booster. instead of using vacuum they use pressure from the power sterring pump.
