HOW TO "Z" a F@ORD FRAME...the hard way!!
This here is one of my pops company trucks...used to be mine years ago. It's an '03. When the truck was new, my buddy hooked me up with some Lightening springs, F&R, and some bags...worked great for years untill the POS weak A$$ frame started to crack. I welded the the cracks and the bag mount to the frame to strengthen. The truck was passed on to another employee, when I received a real work truck..a Super Duty.
Anywho, the next man did not maintain a thing...AAMOF, he never used the bags, and the axle was constantly on the frame...the weak frame that is. This truck (and all in our fleet) are used for installing Garage Doors, so the idea is to keep the rack low...(for reaching the doors, and backing under the old doors to easily remove them. This is why I set it up that way. I even had low-pro 20's on it...it was the cleanest door truck around... - - If you notice the pics, the bed is leaning forward really bad, and notice the front rope hooks have actually PUNCTURED the windshield !! - - - - - - - - Day it rolled in with two 16x7 wood doors on it: - - Rather than remove the boxes, then the rack, then the liner, then the bolts...this time I hole-sawed right where the bolts were...screw it its a Ford beater anyway... - - - up it comes with the fork lift...notice the frame coming up as well (??) -

Brought the truck in and started to work...I decided rather then repair, I removed all the rivets and picked up a rear section from the wrecking yard:

- Kinda scored on this back-half....they wanted $350 for a stripped one....but this one came with a lowered stance (shackles, hangers, shocks), Flowmaster, and leafs (which we need). I save the lowering crap for a future customer.... - - - - - More on this POS later....... - -

I almost wanted to open it up and see how it was done, mabey make smaller ones. The junkyard frame came with the Flowmaster, that what I meant.

Yeap, that was the plan, but I just stocked out the rear suspension, and put it back into service.
