I hate color sanding

But the results are great. I did a quicky on this one. I could probably go at it more and might in a few days. I had a small burn through but the clear was real thin there. I will just touch it up later. In the 2nd picture you can acually see my truck at the top of the fender. My truck was parked about 10' away.

Re: I hate color sanding

maybe I should take a picture of the other fender so you can see.
It takes the orange peel away and makes it smooth as glass.

Re: I hate color sanding

Here is a picture of the other fender. It is not sanded yet. I dont know if the pictures will do it justice or not but I think you can see the differnce. The 2nd picture is the unsanded one. I started with 800 to really break it down then switched to 2000 and buffed it out. If you dont use them right you can burn through the paint.

It is a 1991 GM color. I will look next time I have the paint out.

I hear ya on color sanding. I don't care for buffing much either. Awesome job.

Re: I hate color sanding

Yes wet sand. I just use a spray bottle and keep spraying. Man my fingers are raw.
