I used some stuff I already had in the garage...various diameter punches, a mallet, pliers, vice, 180 sandpaper. I even had a spray can of dark blue, and some Testors model paint for the yellow lettering. I think it came out pretty well for a few bucks and a couple nights of work. The other plate is not as bad as this one was, so I am sure it will come out fine. I also have the original dealer frames.
Again nice job! Now, do you think we shop at the same store?

Here's some more photo's of half of the frames I've collected, enjoy.

If you should ever come across a Swaney or Diller Chevrolet frames from Corona, please keep me in mind.

Re: License Plate Resto.

Quick question on the restoration..Do some states require that the plates be reflective..Seems like the plates here in Wash. State especially the old green ones have a reflective coating to them????

To answer that one you will more than likely want to check with your local DMV office. I know that the plates available in MO during that time weren't issued with reflective paint (well, to the best of my knowledge they weren't).
