HELP...78 bed

Im looking at buying a 78 c10, but its a stepside which I dont like. How hard/expensive is it to find a nice fleet side shortbed? I cant seem to find any and want to see if its worth it or just wait for a fleetside to come up for sale. Thanks

You should be able to find a decent fleetside bed. If the truck is nice and it is solid, get it! You could always find somebody looking for a nice step in the future.

Re: HELP...78 bed

The question you should ask is would you buy the truck if it were a fleetside? Is everything else there that you want? Is the price right for the condition it is in?

Sine I am from Texas, finding a clean fleet bed is easy. Heck, finding a clean fleet truck is easy.

My point is make sure your buying what you really want. Is this the one you are looking at?

Re: HELP...78 bed

Yes, the second one looks like a 4wd. I would still look at it though. Even if you don't want a 4wd, it might be worth converting to 2wd if the body is as clean as it looks.

I used the regular Craigslist search for those. Try Craigshelper (now Searchtempest) to get a broader perspective of what is in your area.

Re: HELP...78 bed

Thanks...He emailed me back and it is 4wd. I think Ill still check it out and see if its worth making it 2wd. How hard is that to do? What is involved?
