HELP/opinions...4wd to 2wd? Advice
I'm looking at a 79 gmc sierra, regular cab short bed. It is exactly what I want, except it is 4wd. I plan on lowering it, and eventually bagging it. Is it worth it to buy the truck and make it 2wd? Whats the easiest way to do this? What is involved? Expensive/difficult? Thanks!

everything should be a direct swap over if what i remember reading here is correct.. Youll have to unbolt the leafs and axel of the 4wd and the 2wd should bolt right up...I know that is that way with the opposite swap

You can still lower it (some) and keep the four wheel drive. 4 Wheelers have a hight $ value than 2 wheel drive. I would think you would want that way up North where you're located...

It would be alot easier to find a 2wd frame and use your cab and bed...
