Herculiner Cab Floor - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Greetings,
Has anyone every applied Herculiner or Rhine lined the floor of a cab after removing all the rust? We are thinking that this would not be affected by water. This would also act as sound deadener.
Pictures of your project would be appreciated.

I had a Blazer that had this from a PO. Not professionally done, but I liked it. I will do it to my truck eventually, but I'll have a pro do it.

Glad this question was asked. I knew there was something I was going to do to the floor of my truck after removing the rust.

Now I remember, put on rubber undercoat.

When we built my cab we undercoated (rhino) both the bottom of the cab and the inside of the cab from the top of the inner fire wall (under the dash) to the top behind the gas tank. It worked out great. Sorry dont have pics but it is guaranteed never to rust.

sorry, not to hijack the thread, i had forgotten that the hootus thing refered to herculiner. for some reason i thought it was por 15.
so i googled hootus liked suggested above, and it started to come back to me... i kept a straight face until the entry came up that the urban dictionary described hootus as something to put herculiner on....

. i blew dr. pepper out of my nose all over the monitor, and ruined my keyboard.

i couldn't stop burning or laughing untill i left the room to get another key board.

thanks guys i needed a good laugh !!!! i'm still gigling

okay, this one is ultraliner, its put on extra thick because i told them i wanted it to be sound deadner and insulation. i don't have the truck together yet so i can't tell you how good it works but some friends have had it done to some old street rods and claim it s great for both purposes
