Truck Update
Hey guys, I had a great find on CL. I found a brand new '81-'82 grille and headlight doors for $20. I emailed the guy and told him I'd take it. I went to pick it up today and got it. The guy then asked me if I wanted a Lund visor for my truck. I asked him how much he wanted, looked at it and bought a $300 visor for $50 and the new grille for $20. I now have over $400 worth of parts that I paid $70 for. Here's some pics of the grille installation. I'll get a pic or two of the visor tomorrow when the sun's out. I think I got one heck of a great deal.

Nice find on the parts. I never seem to get that lucky. The new grill looks good, you gonna put a bowtie in the middle of it?

Re: Truck Update
Cool find on the grill. I'm not too big on the visor thing.

Re: Truck Update
Thanks for the comments guys. I got really lucky for once on a great selection of parts. I could've bought a passenger side door for $40, but I didn't need it. I'll get pics of the visor after I clean it.

Re: Truck Update
Daytime pics. I think it looks 100% better than before. Also, a pic of the visor. I know it doesn't match, but I'm gonna get a body shop to match it to the truck. I have the lenses for it too.

Re: Truck Update
Here's an update on the visor. I roughed it up with a red Scotch-Brite and primered it. I took the bulb sockets out and sprayed the buckets with chrome paint to make them brighter. Now all I need is some Chevy Engine Orange enamel paint to finish it and wire it up. How's it look so far?

Re: Truck Update
I would just paint it with the enamel to match the truck. that way you'll never have to take it off again and mess with it.
