Only thing new is a top end tick. I think I wiped a lifter out or something. At the time the engine made 400hp and 525tq, so I'm thinking about adding some go-fast goodies and building it a little more bulletproof. This winter is when I'll do the entire tear-down, up to and including interior and paint. I have not forgotten about it this summer, as I have a closet piled high with goodies that should add some much needed shock value.

Right on, man. You should try a little Lucas oil additive. It just might calm that lifter down. Cant wait to see whats in store.

That is one cool truck. So are you going to have to put wheelie bars on it so it wont grind the back end of the truck off when your doing wheel stands? I sure would hate to see all that metal work get messed up.

The flare paint is called "Scallops". It's an old hotrod thing a lot of guys did to show off body lines better. The tails will be frenched in about 1/2" this winter, and as for wheelie bars, the truck doesn't seem to wheelie, so I haven't planned anything yet.

Near the bottom of page 4 I have a front corner shot, it's about as close as I've got right now. I'd take one for ya, but the hood is off and not even in the same building as the truck right now Mind you, a lot of what you see is missing at the moment.
-Hood
-Doors are on, but gutted and now aligned proper (would like to suicide them possibly, but that might not happen, not sure about Autolocs hinges)
-All weatherstrip and glass is out
-Interior is out from top to bottom, front to back (including drilling 40ish spotwelds to remove the dash)
-Engine is out, but the transaxle remains
-Much of the wiring has been removed to make work room

So yeah, it's kind of a morbid creature at the moment (but when is it not, I mean really?) It's all for the better, however, as it's coming back with a bang, as a full on 60s style Kustom.

Anyone who could render a picture of it with the custom side trim and pillar trim with some sort of scallop design, that would be awesome, and any ideas for a wild headlight/grille treatment would help too. Thanks!

School bus hood. I get older, they stay the same age...



I've got the matching double-hump dash, but it's still in the truck, so for now bare naked interior is pretty sexy.



With so little accessories in there, there was plenty of room to fit the bench seat to build brackets.



Speaking of bare naked, bodywork isn't far off at this point.





The new rad is 32" wide, 19" high and 3" thick, so the hole and structure for the I6 rad just didn't do it.... Nor did anything else there. It's totally shaved and smoothed, about 15 hours later.



The engine gave a mild problem early last year.... Not a problem anymore... Mondello Performance were there to help me out and thin my wallet.

Im sure for the noise factor. Helps a little running it like he did.

This would be so cool to pull up at local cruise get out pop hood while others are around and seen you drive up and watch look on there faces when no motor. (only if they didnt first notice it in rear) Cool ride!!

the thing to do would be cover the motor with a tonneau cover, and then install a hamster & wheel in the old engine compartment
