70 leather custom interior
Looking at a truck and it's a little more than I want to spend but it's got a sweet interior (never installed) and I think that will make it worth it to me...trying to see if you guys concur...
Factory bench seat with new foam and two tone tan leather. Door panels made to look like bench in matching leather. New dash pad custom painted to match leather (perfect match) Tan seatbelts original set in OK shape. Sunvisors recovered in matching leather, and a tan carpet setup. I know the carpet is worth around 100-150. Any idea on the entire setup? I am thinking it's worth around a thousand but not sure. It's a nice two tone and good looking colors...If i get the truck i'll either paint it blue or red and both would look excellent with the interior. Sorry, no pictures...

Bench seat? Leather? Is this a Blazer? What are you looking at?
Can't blame you. I should go get a junker just so I can say I actually "drive" these year trucks. |

Yeah, it's a nice "junker". It's got about 7-8K worth of parts easy and he's asking a LOT less than that so it's one of those deals I can't pass up. Going to take the best parts off my 70 and swap them with the worst parts off this to make a SWEET weekend cruiser that won't break the bank.

I use the term "Junker" loosely. Sorry, bad habit.
For me, a junker is anything but your pride and joy, past present or future. |

Re: 70 leather custom interior
I don't know where I thought it was a 70...I guess because of the 70 bed.
If he has that kind of money in it, has receipts to support the claims of spent money, the truck is solid, runs well, and has potential. Get it, sounds like a nice deal. As for interior, I'm the wrong one to ask...I'll help you put it together though. Keep me in touch with what you do. |

Re: 70 leather custom interior
I'd say $1500 at least on the interior work, leather AIN'T CHEAP!! It sounds like it was done nice, he has about $2-2500 in the interior stuff, I'd guess. But what I pay for something and what I can sell it for are usually two vastly different things!!

Re: 70 leather custom interior
I do upholstery and deal with leather. Now if it is actual leather, you probably looking at 750.00 in materials alone. There are vinyl's out there nowadyas that look and feel just like real leather but it ain't. So beware of that, if thats the case it drops the material cost to about 350. on the higher end. so I'd say1000 - 1500.00 for the interior.
