Grille assembly...
Just got my grille, outter and inner, in today along with the hardware from classic heartbeat. It's all the repro stuff but I am having trouble installing the inner to the outter. I don't know if maybe I'm doing something wrong but the clips just won't go in. Someone have a diagram or coule explain how to put this thing together. I'm thinking that since it is a repro that it is not the best mold, and I may have to force it in there. Any help would be appriciated.

Memory is blurry here, but I seem to remember using a couple of C-Clamps.
Then my wise friend came over and suggested that I use a socket along with the clamp to pop the fasteners in there. Sorry to be so vague, but it was such an unpleasant event that I have "blocked it out" Tried using my fingers, and it took 2 months for my thumbnail to re-connect to my thumb. |

I went through the same thing last month. I didn't order the new clip kit so I had to pop the old clips off the old grill AND push them on with the edge of a screwdriver. I doubt I got them on in the right spot. I didn't even get them all on, just enough to do the job. Lazy, yes, but it's on and looking good. One word of caution--be careful with the back of those repro grills; they're like razors.
