Thumbs up frame shorting Ques.?

Okay everone. woke up this morning and had an idea! had to get coffee in me first but anywayz, i have 2 long beds one a 70 chev and one a 72 GMC . im thinking that i have 2 frames and i could shorten one to a short wheel base (always wanted one). but my question is can i use the trailing arms of my long bed after i shorten the frame? iknow the procedure on shorting the frame but i don't know if i can use these trailing arms . any help will of course help, and also i would need a one piece drive shaft right.? any info would be great

You shouldn't even have to touch the trailing arms. The frame cuts are made in front of the trailing arm crossmember. Check over in the FAQ section, I believe there is at least one post about shortening frames. Lots of info there.

Trailing arms are the same length, long and short wheel base. And as stated already, the major cut is ahead of them. No issues at all.
