Ralley wheel measurements

I have a set of ralley wheels that measure 9 inches from lip to lip. When people are referring to an 8 inch ralley wheel do they actually measure 9 inches like these do? I am afraid it is a little too much wheel in the front for my bagged truck and I am thinking about going with less rim width. I just want to make sure I get the right ones. If an 8 inch ralley actually measures 8 inches I will go with some of those for the front, or a 7 inch rim.

Here is a picture of my wheels back from the powder coater. I really like the way they turned out, they are mounted with a 245/60/15. I should have my center caps back from the chromer next week.

Thanks for any help with the measurements.

Re: Ralley wheel measurements

That is what mine measure and mine are considered 8's. Here is a pic of mine on the truck with 235's on the front.

Re: Ralley wheel measurements

I'm pretty sure you measure wheels inside bead to inside bead. You can get van ralleys pretty cheap. That's what I have on the front of my suburban right now. They measure 6 1/2 inches bead to bead.

Re: Ralley wheel measurements

You have to measure inside the bead to the inside such as rob pictured. Yours would be 8"

Re: Ralley wheel measurements

Thanks for the help guys, that makes sense. Also thanks for the pics Hart Rod and Nicolas. I will probably go with van ralley's in the front.
