does anyone have pics of someone running 18 and 20s?

I have a chance to trade my 22s for some coy c5s 18x8 in the front and 20x10s for the rear, I was just wondering about how it would look...

It doesnt look right unless your truck is dropped hard.

I think you need to leave that Burb alone. I am all about lowered vehicles, but the stance and wheels are a great combo.

Since your probably not going to listen to that advice, here ya go.

I really think the staggered look is over rated, I ran a 18/20 combo on one of my previous trucks, and it was slammed.... I really grew to hate it.

Re: does anyone have pics of someone running 18 and 20s?

Recently, I swapped some 20" Coy's on it & had to creep along because there was zero clearance (ok, there was .500"). It buzzed the tops of the inner wells just creeping down my alley. It would require raising the inner wells for extra clearance @ that ride height which I did not want to get into @ this time.

I did the 18/20 deal because the truck is driven daily. I wanted a minimum sidewall height & it needed to fit w/o rubbing. After trying the 20" Coy's, I was still looking for a change. I cleaned up some 15" ralleys that were on my beater & have had them on ever since. I'm diggin' the old school look these days.

Ken . . .... That's a good pic BTW (I haven't seen it before).
Right click.... save. Thanks

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

That's how I got it. It was posted on here and I copied to file.

Guys, Scoti knows I love his truck and how it looks. That's why I feel comfortable using it as an example. It allows me to point out what I mean when I talk about an 18/20 combo and how they fit our trucks. It doesn't look bad if it's tucked, but it really makes the front tire/wheel look small when it's not.

That's exactly the problem with the set up I had. It made my front's look like 16's! It was kind of the running joke about the rims on my truck; we all called it the 16/18 combo.

And just for the record, I do love Scoti's truck, and can understand running the set up for daily driving issues. Actually that was the same reason I ended up running the staggered set up my self.

the reason I want to go this way is because I am going to bag it and I want to keep the a/c and heat. I cant run 22s and keep the ac...

Re: does anyone have pics of someone running 18 and 20s?

Here's the progression. I thought I had some pics of it when I brought it home but I must not have loaded them from the camera to the computer.

The drop is 3" Bell Tech spindles w/1-coil cut from the OE springs, an HD 1.25" OE sway bar in poly bushings, relocated/home built upper shock mounts for more shock travel w/stock replacement type gas shocks.

The rear is the OE 8-leaf HD set-up w/a Western Chassis flip kit, Bell Tech shackles, & W.C. shock extensions. I modified some Western Chassis bolt-in c-sections by adding upper bag brackets for a 'primative' AOL set-up that uses the smaller 6" Firestone bags when I need to tow my trailer. The shocks are the same style as the fronts but the p/n was for a 73-87 4x4 front application (closest extension/compression/ride height dimensions for my set-up).

It also has a modified ECE hidden Hitch w/flip-up plate kit. Gets the job done anyway....

Yep, I liked them as well. Once I swap in the DM & raise the ineer fenderwells (that's why I wanted yours), I'll prob get another set. They look good on Trey's Blazer too.....
