Another trans swap question
I am hoping to get around to swapping a 350/700R4 combo from my 86 burb donor into my 74 SWB within the next few weeks.
I am wondering if anyone can tell me what all wires I would need to keep in order to use the stock computer to control the trans functions? Got a diagram maybe? I don't really have the money to buy anything from the aftermarket for it at this time, and I need to get this thing going.

Re: Another trans swap question
Do I just need to keep the wires that run to the trans, plus the power and ground wires? Will that work? Or should I just wait until I can afford an aftermarket solution?

http://www.tciauto.com/Products/Inst...76600_inst.htm Internal trany wiring is straight forward, but you need a replacement switch (GM part number is provided) and can be easily duplicated. Externally a brake switch and a vacuum switch can be wired for TC lock up function. //RF

Re: Another trans swap question
Thanks for the link.
Another reason I asked if I could do it with the stock ecm was that the guy I got the donor vehicle from is a friend of mine and said the trans only has about 3000mi on it, and I don't really want to pull the pan off.
