WTB: Excellent steps for '72 SWB stepside
I have virtually an entire new bed coming from Mar-K one of these days and I just realized that I still needs a pair of excellent steps to complete the bed. If you have a pair to part with, please let me know price, condition, etc. Pics would be great. THANKS!
I have a pair of PERFECT longbed steps I'd trade straight up. They were taken off a brand-new truck by a dealer in 1971 and stored indoors ever since. Absolutely immaculate, just wrong for my application. Brent

Re: WTB: Excellent steps for '72 SWB stepside
I'd really prefer steel, but maybe if the price was right I'd consider 'glass. Let me know what you have to have for 'em. Thanks!

Re: WTB: Excellent steps for '72 SWB stepside
I'll give it a few days to see if I can turn up some steel ones. If not, I'll check back with you. Thanks again!

Re: WTB: Excellent steps for '72 SWB stepside
not to hijack but are your fiberglass steps smooth CPNE or do they have the raised sections on the top as an OEM one does?

Re: WTB: Excellent steps for '72 SWB stepside
The steel steps are made new.
Not sure who makes them. Ask some board vendors.

Re: WTB: Excellent steps for '72 SWB stepside
Yup, and that's quite a bit more than I really want to pay. Add in shipping and I'd have 15% of the total cost of my bed just in the steps. I'm gonna call dibs on the 'glass steps pending pics.

Re: WTB: Excellent steps for '72 SWB stepside
If you've got a pair that's in excellent condition (no rust-through, no pitting, no significant dents) I'd be interested. I'm buying the fiberglass ones from CPNE regardless because I just committed to buying them, but I'd still rather have steel. Let me know what you come up with. Thanks!
