Re: We know we like the 67-72 model years but...
I must admit that is a sweet looking truck...but...I'll stick to my 70cst. Although to be fair...my 70cst will never be my DD. Thanks for the pics.

Re: We know we like the 67-72 model years but...
Good point...I had a temporary brain freeze...that being the case your truck would be on the top of my list. It is a sleek lookin truck.

Re: We know we like the 67-72 model years but...
speaking of memories. When I was 10 years old, I learned to drive my dad's 68 GMC, so I'm partial to the classics. As a young boy, our neighbor had a red '53 that I rode in numerous times. So, bottom line is if I see any truck, I'm going to stop and look, but these two eras have special status. Cnut

Re: We know we like the 67-72 model years but...
I was lookin specifically for a 54 Chevy 1/2 ton cause that is what I grew up driving. But when I found the BB loaded 70cst...I knew that was the one. I graduated in 70 and if my truck was a muscle car...I would not have been able to afford it back in those days. Hey...I can afford a muscle car today!

Re: We know we like the 67-72 model years but...
Well my real 2nd would be the 88-98 but my 3rd choice is the 60-66 so I voted accordingly.

Re: We know we like the 67-72 model years but...
If the choice was made on stying alone, it would be 64-66 over the 67-72. 66 was the last of the truck styling era before the move to 67 to make them more like cars. The styling of the hood lines, the roof lines and the lines of the small back window cab can't be beat.If the choice was made on ease of driving, 67-72 obviousily has the upper hand. Most 64-66 pickups just did not have the modern options of power steering and brakes, automatic transmissions that are so much more common on the 67-72 era.

Re: We know we like the 67-72 model years but...
You left out my favorite...`55 2nd.Traditionally the designs are broken down as 47-54 and 55-59 with`55 1st requiring designation.
67-72s are way down my list with all designs prior being liked more.I like these trucks as modern classics. But,my thing is all about vintage. These things and any later design kinda "became" classic on me.

Re: We know we like the 67-72 model years but...
So far 60-66 model years have the lead but the 47-55 trucks are a close second.

Re: We know we like the 67-72 model years but...
i`m not so sure that the 67-72s are the favorite overall or just more plentiful as well as survived better. You just don`t see the 60-66s around here and haven`t foe decades, other than the few babyed and prolly imported ones. Then,as they get older they are even more rare. The 67-72 body actually was very good about rust. They way outlasted the 73-77s around here. You gotta figure the majority of enthusiasts are relatively new to the whole deal and they go by what they are seeing. That`s completely different than coming up along with them.

Re: We know we like the 67-72 model years but...
I like them ALL and typically the older the better, but I had to go with the 73-87 because they were as tough as our trucks, but even more comfortable.

Re: We know we like the 67-72 model years but...
If I could find one, I'd take a '73 or '74 2wd Blazer. Full removable top and good looks, perfect for summer cruisin'.
