Re: What did you get done thread 6/14/2009

Friday I worked on my newest project a 1978 FLH.It was a full dress a titlke bike that had been sitting in a garage for a while. Over the weekend I got one of my one piece windows installed. It has been a while since I worked on my truck. I think the lack of windows turned me off from the truck project. Now I have the windows I cant wait to finish the truck and get it on the road.

Not offended at all. I got a lot of money for that crap. The more parts I sell off it the more new parts I can buy. Thanks for the compliment on my truck.

Re: What did you get done thread 6/14/2009

Yo! Received the stainless hood pin set, two piece fan shroud, and fuel pressure gauge for FRANKENTRUCK.
Spent a bit of the weekend drying it out,...we've had a deluge of rain each of the past nine days (and for about two months,...very unusual for us this time of year), and I've had a small leak onto the floorboards (possibly due to the floor vents being open,...seems to be from there). If I recall, my cowls were clean and rust-free when I was building it, but I'll have to flood the cowls with the garden hose after everything dries out a bit to check them. FRANKENTRUCK is back in it's small garage now so it'll dry and stay that way.
Shovelled muck to improve drainage in the pastures yesterday, and had to build some new fence, so I only got the truck's new gauge installed. Found my electric fuel pump regulator to be set at only four psi, so I brought it up to seven. Damn K20 accelerates like a bat out of hell, and I still need to setup my vacuum timing, and fine tune the Holley! Sure beats the snot out of the ol' '81 305 Chevy C10 I used to have,...and IT ran well! I did, however, build FRANKENTRUCK's drivetrain myself, from scratch,...

I'm convinced that those 17" Foose Spank wheels with the 33" Firestones were the PERFECT choice, and they gave the truck a much better highway rpm with it's 4:11 rear gears and TH400!
Todd.
