Is there a way to slow down...

the fill on air ride system. I have the mufflers/silencers on the dump side and works flawless. I'm running 1/2 inch lines on a FBSS with 8 valves, 1 tank, 2 compressors. Thanks.

Re: Is there a way to slow down...

Thanks for the quick response. Any other way besides switching to 3/8 lines?

Re: Is there a way to slow down...

to control the lift and dump speed/reaction you'll need speed controllers on the inlets to the fill and dump valves. they are essentially pressure regulators that control how fast you want a reaction to hittin the switches. SD has them.

oh yea, they are fully adjustable, just like a pressure regulator.

Re: Is there a way to slow down...

If you wanted to do it on the cheap you can install orifices on the fittings on the fill valves (bag side) wont affect your dump and you can play with the speed by just drilling them larger until you have the right speed only downside is that it's not adjustable.

Re: Is there a way to slow down...

I slowed mine down by installing plugs on the inside of the fittings with 1/8" holes drilled in them.

Re: Is there a way to slow down...

I think smashingchuck and I are on the same page on this on it's just ann 1/8" pipe plug with a hole drilled in the center and you tap the back side of the fitting on the npt side if 1/8" is too small for your current fitting step up to 1/4". They also come in brass.

Re: Is there a way to slow down...

Another option that Tony from ART mentioned is to insert a 6" long piece of 3/8 hose inside the 1/2 line at the valve. This work as a flow reducer. It's not adjustable, but it can be removed.

Hey DZL1, do you have any pics of how you mounted and plumed all of your air solenoids. I am trying to figure out how to do my 8 valve system..
Thanx

Re: Is there a way to slow down...

Hey Smashingchuck, I have those already on my front and rear dump. Works great!

Tk-mpl, I currently dont have pics of that, out of town. But basically this is what I did. I have 1 tank with 8 ports. 2 ports are for the compressors ( i have 2 compressors), 1 port for pressure switch, 1 port for drain cock, and the remaining 4 are for the the valves. I know it doesnt really help without pics, but when I get back home I'll send you some pics.
