Question ***HELP***1981 chev 4x4/w turbo 400,how do i go about installing complete 97 vortec

I need a little bit of help guys.I have came across the chance to buy a 97 vortec motor, complete with wiring, comp, airbox and all those parts to make it run.how complicated would it be to install this in my 81.the way i'm sitting right now is just a stripped out cab sitting on a rolling chassis.I haven't yet checked with painless wiring, but we came across the idea that we couldn't confuse the computer to run without the vehicle speed sensor.any input on this conversion is extremely appreciated.thanks in advance.

one guy here did it a long time ago. You have to swap everything over. Either that or else put a carbed intake on it [thats what I did]
