where can i find front brake dust shields for a 72 K10 chev. they are spot welded to the caliper bracket. i really dont want to take the time to fabricate them. it is a stock truck i think its a 8.5" 10 bolt differential. also where can i get good stock calipers the ones from NAPA, etc are always pitted. this might be streching it but can anyone tell me if there was another piece that is welded on the caliper bracket where the axle goes thru the spindle it looks like a piece rusted off. there are spot welds and markings like there was something there.truck is the same year i was born and it was recently handed down to me. been the family truck for 30 years.

Good luck finding a set of 72's I bid on a pair of NOS on the bay but when it got to $150 I said uncle. I am not sure if later models will work or not. If they will it would be great to know.

thanks i will probably fabricate a set for that amount,just dont have the time,rebuilding house and three little kids.

The 73 and up backing plates will work. They are made a lot heavier, also. Not sure what year the "up" is but I am pretty certain that it is through 1984.

thanks just had a call from chevy truck parts in california saying the samething .he might have some for 50 apiece.
