hey ya'll I was able to get a "new" rear sliding widow for $20 bucks! its clear and aluminum. not exactly like the one I have now but it will work! so how do I take out the old one and put in the new one? I did a search and didn't come up with much. I do want to remove the rubber gasket because I am noticing some surface rust in the cab around the window. I hear its not hard, just don't know where to start or know what I need. Thanks! Matt

i just had the local glass shop do it for $40.00. its pretty easy to get them out, but harder to get back in, especially w/ old rubber. i decided it was better to have professionally installed. maybe you could remove and clean it up and have them reinsatll

there is the rubber center of the gasket.. you pull that out then using two screwdrivers you gently pry the rubber down and push the window out working from the upper corner around to the other upper corner .. its easy enough.. ive done many of them

once I get it out, I can just pull the ruber off the cab and do the fix on the rust right?

how about putting in it? just reverse the job? or do I have a pro do it??

install is the reverse you jam it in and start working the rubber back with the screwdrivers... its so simple a kid could do it

I just had my rear window installed tonight. My wife and made an attempt to install it the other night. I have done a few with the old rubber gasket but the new rubber was a PITA. I didn't want to scratch the paint so I had someone do it. Rope and silicone spray will help.
