Lowering body mounts.
in reference to a '68 1/2 ton.
Unless I missed the thread,there hasnt been a cut & dried answer on lowering the body mounts. Ive heard(before)1" will put your rockers on the ground.Is that pinch weld or is that w/pinch removed? Im looking to get it as low as I can w/o touching pavement to body. I understand where the trimming will need to be done to cab and core support area,just need a reference point of drop to work off of. Thanks for any info. |

Hey Nathan,
Thanks for the reply. You and I talked about this a couple weeks ago. I remember what you said but the photos in the west coast thread arent clear as to how close the pinch is to the floor. The glare on the concrete and the angle of the pic makes it unclear. I was thinking 3/4" but wanted to make sure it would put me 1/4" from contacting the ground and not still have a 1/2" or more to go. If its a definite 1" difference(from bottom frame to pinch weld),then 3/4" is what Im looking for. |
