The replacement measures 1 - 1/8

I'm sure that all of the non-tilt Automatic shifters are the same, at least with the TH350 & TH400's the Powerglides may be different.

I'm not familiar with the later shifters (73-up) they may use the shorter throw shifter. My guess would be that is what it is for.
