C- notch install help?

I have my frame on stands and I'm ready to do my notch. I looked on this site and found this real helpful how to with the same cpp notch but I have a couple questions.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=195566

in this how to it shows to line up the notch with the oval hole and not with the directions.

My question is.. I want to measure for the rear end to make sure that the notch is center with the axel at full drop, but I have nothing but a frame and I cant line up the axel with the notch....

In this how to he says he measured 5 frames in his shop and they all measured out the same I just want to make sure being that I won't have the rear suspension to check....

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Re: C- notch install help?

Do you at least have the trailing arms to help find the C/L of the axle?

Thumbs up Re: C- notch install help?

Not at the time... I built some arms out of 2x3 tubing and just tacked them together and gave them to my buddy to do a nice stitch weld with a tig. also gave him the stock ones to double check my work...I'm trying not to bug him about them but I can get at least one stock one back and go from there.....
thanks for the input
