THM 400 VSS and Cable
I installed a 1988 454 TBI with the original THM400 transmission in my 1976 pickup. Everything works great, the only problem that I need to solve is the speedometer. The THM 400 has a VSS and no speedometer cable and I would like to know if anyone knows of a part that I can use to have the VSS and a cable combined. I adapted all of the 1988 wiring harness to work with all functions of the switches and dash except for the speedometer. Does anyone have any information for the conversion?

Swap the gears for the speedo gear, they are interchangable. Basically converting the electric to mechanical.

Hey thanks. I guess I didn't explain my self correctly, I need to use the speed sensor AND speedometer cable. The speed sensor is used for the computer. Thanks again.
