Has anyone used M and H 40367 wiring harness?

I have been looking for a new wiring harness and after readying many forums decided I would try the M and H. Does anyone have any input before I make the purchase? Why does it say without gauges?

40367 1972 DASH HARNESS - CLASSIC AUTO FUSE SERIES, without gauges $389.00 N
NOTE: WITH UPDATED MODERN ATO SERIES FUSEBLOCK. USE FUSE & FLASHER KIT # 40355. ALSO SEE OPTIONAL CLASSIC AUTO FUSE ACCESSORY KITS

take a look at American Autowire kits. they have universal and also vehicle specific. only thing is if you start adding the dash and gauge harneses it can get expensive. the internals on their fuse blocks are about as good as you can get. tech line very helpfull also.take a good look at your gauge and dash harneses they dont see the elements might be in good shape or you could replace them when money allowed.

The "No gauges" statement just refers to the harness is intended for a gauge panel with idiot lights.

I have M&H wire through out my burb.
I did have issues, but M&H went far beyond in making it right.
They spent hours with me over the phone, testing each and every circuit with me. Since I was complaining that something wasn't right.
I did have a plug that was pinned incorrectly, but they fixed it for me free of charge.

If you order wiring harnesses from Early Classic Enterprises, they will be from M&H. I got mine from both M&H and from Wes (board member), in Oregon. I'm not ready to install the harnesses for the cab, yet, but the engine harnesses were just like I needed them to be, ready for HEI.

Go to www.wiringharness.com and check out their on-line catalog.

Board vendor GMCPauls also uses M&H harnesses. I'm in the middle on installing the M&H dash harness right now but have nothing to report yet. Looks fairly straight forward though.

Re: Has anyone used M and H 40367 wiring harness?

donelan07 we carry these harness's and the reason it says without gauges is they offer 1 for gauge trucks and another for none gauge trucks and this is because the wiring needs for a gauge truck and a non-gauge truck are different. There is NO difference in the under dash harness its-self its just like original, the only difference is the fuses used on fuse block, instead of having glass tube fuses it uses the newer style blade ATO fuses. It is completely compatiable with the engine and forward lamp harness that connects to the fuse block on the other side of firewall and all the other harness's for the truck that plug into it, the same open terminals to source power that are available on the glass tube fuse block are available on the ATO fuse block.
You'll find them here on our web site near the bottom of the page.

Re: Has anyone used M and H 40367 wiring harness?

Well I am thinking it would be a good time to upgrade to the ATO fuse block. From what I read M and H has better connectors and help than Painless. Autowire just seems pretty spendy for me.

See my thread from a year ago regarding AAW and M&H. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...rican+autowire MuscleRodz explains the two.

There sure is alot of good information on this forum. I am glad I joined. We always used Ron Francis kits until I sat in on a seminar in Syracuse Goodguys.I really like the quality of AAW so I am sure I would like M&H.Quality and service being the same nothing beats price.
