I've always said you can't drive the paint job! What good is nice paint and body work if it's no fun to drive?

Re: Definition of a SLEEPER!!!

sleepers are awesome. That truck is hilarious, and awesome!

years ago I had a 1982 mercury zephyr. it had the v6 and was prolly the slowest car I ever drove.
one night was sitting at a light with a few friends in the car, when another zephyr pulled up next to me, I hadn't seen another in years, the guy next to me said the same thing. My friends kept saying well your car isn't the slowest one, it's one of the slowest two. Then the light turned green, and he took off like a bat outta hell. fully disappeared before I even got to the limit. Ended up catching up to him at the gas station, turns out he swapped a furd 460 and 5 speed into the thing!!
until he nailed the throttle it didn't even sound modified, and looked fully old and original!

me and my dad have talked about building a late 70's early 80's convertible of some sort into a sleeper...

Re: Definition of a SLEEPER!!!

The screws in the wheels are a bit of a give-away, as are the slicks. The line of gauges across the bottom of the dash are a bit much for a "farm truck" too. I would hope that the rag in the gas tank is just a "prop" and he isn't really running from that thank.
Fast though....

Re: Definition of a SLEEPER!!!

Kinda hard to tell, but it looked like there may have been a police car on the far right, down near the end of the "strip."
