removing cab trim?
Guys, i have a 77 silverado, and want to remove the trim that goes around the rear of the cab. i don't want to destroy it though, since after the body work and paint, I want to put it back on. Does it have any special fittingss or steps to remove it? I don't want to practice on 1 in the junkyard, since that might mess it up for someone who needs it. Any help here?

I just popped my corners off, didn't damage them at all. Then you can slide the long back piece off. You'll have to buy new mounting tabs since more than likely they'll break. Just go slow and watch the trim to make sure it's not about to crack or bend. Good luck!

Yea don't damage them. They are worth their weight in gold. Hey Low 87 I think I'm going to either buy plastic corner bed trim or try to make some out of extra trim I have left over. Trying a heat gun to bend.

if you reach up on the inside of thecab there is one 3/8 trim nut maybe 2 that holds the corner ones on.then slide the rear one out like LOW87 said.If you end up damaging one,i'm sure i got a couple of ding free ones around here, and i won't soak ya too bad for them .Good luck and have a great day.

Alright, I'll give it to him to pass on to you. If making your own bed corners doesn't work, then you'll be halfway there.
