help with bags
ok so im planing to put bags on the rear of my truck tomorrow, im pulling them off of my dads 72 gmc sprint sp (elcamino ss) the bags are currently set inside of the coil springs, i know i can put them on my truck just like they are on the sprint ( i have ss chevelle springs on the back) but my question is can i mount them some way where its just the bag and no spring so i can go all the way to dump and sit the frame on the axle if i feel the need? could be a dumb question lol

Re: help with bags
It's not a dumb question, and it can be done. Unfortunately it won't happen with the bags you are considering. Those are classified as "helper" bags and are not rated to carry the weight without the coil spring.
You can use a set of double convoluted 2500 bags mounted in place of the coil spring.
