firing order on a 402 bb

what is firing order..

How is it going? Get the dist in yet? You are asking about firing order so that is a good sign. You are going to want to have a light on that when you first fire it. Remember, counter clockwise is advance. When you get everything set up, you want to turn the cap so the rotor is just a little before the #1 so you have a little advance. Make sure and plug the vac from the carb when you set your timing. Big blocks like advance for the street. I run mine at 18 degrees and another 18 of mechanical. Also make sure and look the vacuum line back up to the carb.

i have to put the ends on my plug wires.. and put my new plugs in.. and then hand crank the motor to put the mark at 0.. thats it..

do it backwards. It's harder to "bump" the motor with the plugs in because of compression. If you to it the opposite, you can look into the cylinder through the plug hole to see the top of your piston. This way you will know you are at true TDC.
