i think i found a donor truck

its like a 82 c10 it has a 350 in it with a holly carb thrush headers and a edlebrock performer intake it has all the a/c components and besides the seat the cab is great no rust at all and the guy wants 600 bucks...is this a good deal the only main problem with it is the fenders are kinda dinged up and the engine knocks but i don't need the engine out of it

Re: i think i found a donor truck

2 wheel drive (c10 implies) you need to adress the issue of the floor hump, but nothing too hard to do.

Re: i think i found a donor truck

Save the money for the headers, they wont help a stock engine.
The Edelbrock carb will help and be easyer to work on.

As far as having A/C goes, it will either be expensive ($4-600) for a Sanden
aftermarket system, or alot of labor cutting the cab and refurbishing parts for a stock system to go in your truck. But even that way is going to cost you
for o-rings, dryer, fittings, brackets, compressor, hvac box and hoses.

An aftermarket system will be the best way.
