Emission Decal Help!
Hey guys,
I got a 1982 GMC Sierra short bed 350 (originally with 305) - I need to know what the emissions tag code is; I removed it but now I want it back on - I looked at a repair manual but there is tons of different configurations. Can anyone with similar truck post a picture of your deal? or post the 3 digit code for the emissions tag? I'm from California and I want to use it for future reference and I also need it for smog inspection. Dealers no longer can get this tag...... Any help would be appriciated. Thanks |

Can you post a pic of all the variations in the repair manual? Knowing the option content of your truck I might be able to whittle it down to the correct one... K

Re: Emission Decal Help!
Hmmm... I work at Checker Auto, I look at the repair manuals at work, I don't actually have one that I can photo copy or take a pic of, and even if I did there is way to many... all look very similar.
As of now, my truck has all the wiring and hoses correctly hooked up, I just want the decal back in the truck, or at least know what the code for it is. if this helps it's just a basic, 82 GMC High Sierra, originally with 305, w/cruise control .... I just hate having like 4 different Ported Vacuum Switches... each with like 5 hoses comming out of them.. |

Re: Emission Decal Help!
I probably have a manual at home - I was just hoping to not have to look for it...
any other RPO content you can tell me? Auto trans? California or federal emissions? Rear axle ratio? I think those are the only things that will drive differences in the label. K
