Cat Back or just replace stock muffler?
Looking for a little more performance out of my 2005 stock 6.0. Exhaust system is in good shape, just wondering if a cat back system is the way to go, or just replace the stock muffler with a different one? Not looking for anything loud, just a few more ponies if possible. Any thoughts?

Re: Cat Back or just replace stock muffler?
I would be curious to hear some opinions on this as well. I've been thinking about the same thing on my 03 6.0

Re: Cat Back or just replace stock muffler?
Well I guess I will give my two cents on this. On my 2007 with a 5.3 I went to a local exhaust shop and had a single 3 inch inlet dual 2.5 inch outlet magnaflow installed with new tailpipes and tips and it runs and sounds great. I have used flowmaster as well in this configuration on two other trucks in the past and would have to say the magnflow in my opinion is the better way to go. If it where me I would not buy a entire catback I would just replace the muffler. The power increase will not be very noticible either way you go but it will sound much better.
