Re: ac idea or question
hmm, I never thought about that before, but why would'nt it work. My '06 has the same setup, im sure it would/could work. It would just take some time figuring it all out. Hopefully someone has done this and can chime in.....

Re: ac idea or question
cool idea that would probably be a better system.however,i wonder about space under there.those units are just about form fitted.to that cab design there's alot of contours and shape built into a cab specific model .there's not a whole lot of extra space.you can't hardly slip a dollar bill around it.but, you might get lucky.

Re: ac idea or question
I know it's kind of far away but the yards over here in Muncie area usually have a ton of trucks. GW Pierce especially.

Re: ac idea or question
The standard joke about the A/C in newer trucks is that they put in the evaporator first, and then build the entire truck around it. That means its very hard to get to. I don't know how you would recreate this setup on one of the older trucks.
On the 73-87 trucks its easy to get to the evaporator because it is under the hood, not behind the dash. Its not a mistake, its a design feature. Bruce |
